SUPERSTITION
By: Gloria Dianne
So I carry a four leaf clover,
And a rabbits foot or two.
Doesn't everybody put
A six pence in their shoe?
You'll never catch me picking up
A penny that's face down
When a ladder's in my path,
I simply walk around!
When my left palm itches,
Sometimes I do get money.
I cringe when I touch a mirror,
Seven bad years ain't funny!
I never step upon a crack.
I always knock on wood.
I'd keep my fingers crossed all day,
If I only could!
So what if I run away
From a black cat on a fence.
It doesn't mean I'm superstitious!
I'm just a believer in coincidence!
