YESTERYEAR

Before walkmen, cassette,
and CD's,
I'd lindy to juke boxes,
45's and LP's.

Before Armstrong and Jackson
did the moon walk,
I'd 'Rock Around the Clock'
and sang 'Baby Talk'.

It was a time of drive-in movies
and root beer stands,
The Mickey Mouse Club and
American Band Stand.

It was Howdy Doody time
and 'Hi ho Silver away!
And submarine race watching
with Murray the K!

A care free time with only
Purple People Eaters to fear,
Oh, If only I could go back
to yesteryear!
